The Penalty for Misbehavior
Validators must maintain high uptime and sign blocks correctly. If they fail, the network penalizes them (and their delegators).
Types of Slashing
- Downtime: Missing too many blocks (e.g., >95% of 10k window). The penalty is small (usually 0.01%).
- Double Signing: Signing two different blocks at the same height. This is a severe offense with a 5% penalty and permanent tombstoning (jail).
How We Protect You
LUNAStaker uses a Sentry Node Architecture and Horcrux-based Key Management to prevent both downtime and double signing.
